There are few restaurants as memorable as Mad Michael's
. This bright yellow building stands out on the main street of Wyebridge near Midland. The furnishings are tree art made by Michael himself and the patio overlooks the Wye River. Beverages include the delicious homemade ginger pop, the bakery sells a dozen delicious types of pies
made fresh that day, and the menu has all the best southern dishes expertly prepared. The "treehouse" kitchen (a separate, rustic wood cabin out back) contains an 8 shelf smoker, a deep wood fire pit, and an Adobe oven.
While there are classics such as brisket sandwich (served on either a sweet potato or multi-grain bun), smoked lamb, and bison burger, there is also Kentucky Burgoo (their own version of jambalaya), Salmonenchanted Sammich, and a couple delicious vegetarian options.
